Salicylic Acid is an exfoliant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic reagent. It can be used for the treatment of the appearance of dry damaged skin, reducing dry patches/flaking and blackheads, whiteheads. It is an aromatic acid that can be used in cosmetic formulations as a denaturant, hair-conditioning agent, and skin-conditioning agent.
Function
Salicylic acid is often used to treat blackheads, whiteheads and acne. However, its keratolytic ability is not the only reason it is often used to treat blemishes and hair loss.
